Spectrum Tailored Technologies
Spectrum Tailored Technologies Ltd. are co-creating a digital platform, called Jam Up! to empower autistic children with everyday tasks, like getting dressed, using gamification. Jam Up! was initially created by its founder, Rachael, to support her autistic son. Jam Up! won the Startup Cornwall Powered by Slush'd Pitch Competition (Sept, 2023) and was runner up in the Essex Care Tech Challenge (Feb, 2024). We have pilot tested Jam Up! in Essex, Cornwall and Devon with fantastic results.

Problem
This project was borne out of STT's founders lived experience of trying to empower her autistic son to complete everyday tasks, like getting dressed. Everyday tasks are a challenge for 95% of autistic children due to their sensory and physical needs, in addition to challenges with planning and initiation, demand avoidance and overwhelm and anxiety. Currently there is over a two year wait for diagnosis and support - meaning parents / carers often don't know how best to support for their child.
